Written by Caitlin Soard | Mar 30, 2017 3:28:22 PM

Welcome to the newest installment of our "Catching Up With" series! This time we've sat down with Jason Corletta, an account manager at our Chicago office. Jason is a valuable part of V-Soft's ability to provide the best and fastest staffing solutions for Chicagoland area enterprises. We sat down with Jason to learn a little more about his background, his achievements, and his hobbies. Read more here:

How long have you worked at the Chicago office? How did you come to work there?

I have been here for three years in May. I was working for a larger staffing firm and left that job. I wasn’t really sure what I wanted to do, and then I met Sally and that was kind of an “it” moment for me in terms of where I wanted my career to go and I’ve been here ever since.

What was your experience prior to working with Sally?

I started in financial services. I’m from Rochester, New York originally and I worked in financial services for year before I moved to Chicago and took a job at a larger staffing firm. I was there for about a year before I left and joined the Chicago team.

What do you consider a fulfilling workday?

Getting into the office early, I typically like to accomplish my weekly goals in my day-to-day structure. Stuff changes so much in staffing, though, so I’d say any day we close a job or get someone into a job that fits them and the client well is a good day.

What are some short term and long term goals you have?

In the short term, it would be to make the President’s Club this year. I hit Palace Gate’s version of that last year and I know we’re molding into V-Soft, so I’d like to hit that goal in the near future. For the long term, I would definitely like to see myself in some sort of a leadership role.

What is the best thing about working with V-Soft so far?

It’s been great so far. At first you don’t really know what to expect, but then every time we’ve had someone come here, like Purna or anyone else, it’s been nothing but productive, collaborative conversations about how we can make V-Soft better as a whole. I think that’s important and different from other organizations. Larger organizations don’t feel as much like a family. It’s nice to be able to talk openly with people and to feel valued, not just like another number.

What accomplishments are you most proud of?

I would say I won “Salesperson of the Year” last year, and that was cool. Seeing growth financially and professionally has been a great internal accomplishment for myself.

What are some of your favorite things to do in Chicago?

I love to try new restaurants, I try to go out and try something new as much as I can. I like going to Cubs games, Bulls games, and Blackhawk games. I play basketball at least once a week, so that’s fun.

Do you have any hobbies or special activities?

I play golf and I play basketball—those are my big hobbies.
