Written by Caitlin Soard | May 26, 2017 3:24:36 PM

Our Catching Up With series allows you to get a better insight into the lives of our V-Soft Family! We think they're awesome and want to share them with you! This month we interviewed Recruiting Lead, Kevin Haas. Kevin is based out of our Denver office and helps us provide the best in staffing solutions. We sat down with Kevin to learn a little more about how he made is way from Harrisburg to Denver, his hobbies, and his achievements. Read more about Kevin here:

Where did you grow up? How did you end up in Denver?

I grew up in Pottsville, PA, which is a small down in PA. From there I went to Lock Haven University. I started with the Harrisburg office when I gradated college, and I’ve been here about nine years. In 2014 they asked me to relocate to Denver to help with our Comcast account, and we realized Denver was a great place for attracting clients, recruiters, etc. So, in October of 2014, they asked me if I’d like to become the recruiting manager, and at that time opened up this office in Denver. I’ve been here ever since.

Why do you love Denver? What are some of your favorite things to do, places to eat, etc.?

My favorite thing about Denver is the people; they’re very laid-back and less high strung than the east coast. The weather is also a great plus since I like to hike, mountain bike, and I’m big into snowboarding. Really any outdoor activities are something I’m interested in. I love craft beers, and this is kind of the craft beer mecca, so the beer and food scene is very trendy.

Do you volunteer anywhere? If so where/what is your role there?

We volunteer at Brent’s Place, and I really enjoy that. Helping kids is fulfilling.

What has your v-soft experience been like so far? How long have you been here? How did you learn about V-Soft?

I’ve been with the Harrisburg and Denver offices for 9 years. I learned about V-Soft via the acquisition of MDT. My experience has been good, it’s interesting for me learning the different service lines we have, coming from a strictly staffing background. It’s been a great experience working with the offshore team, and I’ll actually be traveling to India in the next few months to visit, which I am very excited about.

What are some accomplishments and successes that you’re most proud of?

Opening the Denver office was a great success. We were able to expand our business into a market that is competitive and growing.

When you’re not at V-Soft, what do you enjoy doing?

I love the outdoors and spending time with my wife. Traveling is also a great passion of mine.

Is there anything else you’d like to share? An interesting fact about yourself, etc.

This is the only company I’ve ever worked for since I graduated. I’ve done a lot of things, such as recruiting, account management, etc.

Also, I am an Eagle Scout. I hated it at the time though, my parents made me do it.
