We are lucky to have this month's employee spotlight in the #VSoftFamily! Tricia Barbier joined the team about a year and a half ago and has since led the new channel marketing initiative with great success and has been a great team player at many virtual team building and happy hour events. If you've worked with Tricia, you know you can count on her to get the job done with a smile on her face! We caught up with Tricia to learn a little bit more about her role and what she likes to do in her free time.
I'm the Channel Partner Manager for V-Soft. I work with channel partners to understand their business models and partnership gaps and build relationships with key contacts. I enjoy this role as I get to work with a lot of different people, from sales to solution architects and project managers. Every day is different and exciting!

I am proud that we have come as far as we have with the channel partnerships given some of the roadblocks that we've been given. We've had some wonderful successes that we can celebrate and we have a pathway to continue building upon those successes. I am excited to see where it takes V-Soft and the rest of the sales team, too! It’s been a true team effort.
During the times of working from home, I think we can all say that each day brings some interesting and fun stories. Whether it be dogs barking on Teams calls or doing conference call bingo and seeing how many times you can say “xxx, you're on mute,” we all have stories! What makes it great is how we have all adjusted to the change!

I really enjoy family time and this month I will actually be celebrating my 12th wedding anniversary. My son, Max, is 11 and my daughter is 7. We love to travel and enjoy cruises and Disney the most. I run my daughter's girl scout troop, a group of 12 girls. This has been a little more challenging over the last year to keep them engaged when we were not able to meet in person. Thankfully, we are back to in-person fun! I also garden a lot. I am in the process of planting a monarch way-station in my backyard. This is a place for monarchs to stop on their migration each spring and fall. (I LOVE BUTTERFLIES!) I also do a lot of crafts when I have time; (painting, Epoxy designs) and love wine tasting.

Growing up, I thought I was Irish! Patricia Anne… Sounds pretty Irish to me. We were told we were Irish. 5 years ago, my aunt did her DNA testing and she started getting into our family tree. She was able to trace back to when our family migrated to America. After a lot of research and traveling, turns out we are actually Sicilian and tied to the Castiglione family. A family member was coming over and lied about their name on their papers to cover their troubled past!
As a family, we keep pretty busy during the summer months out by our pool! Lots of friends like to come by and we take advantage of the time we can enjoy it. We also enjoy going to the zoo, museums and concerts. When the weather isn’t so favorable in Chicago, it's always great to catch a show or go to Main Event for laser tag.
