Each month our employee spotlight features a different member of our V-Soft family. This month we have sat down with Dawn Sabin from our Wisconsin office. Dawn is a Payroll/HR Specialist and helps keep our company running smoothly! When she's not being an HR superhero, Dawn enjoys nature, travel, and photography. Learn more about Dawn here:
After working as a commercial insurance agent for 15 years, I followed my passion for photography and started my own freelance photography business. My commercial clients included American Girl/Mattel and Lands’ End. I even had the chance to photograph President Obama twice! It was a lot of fun, but also physically demanding and unpredictable. So, when my neighbor, who was working as a consultant, referred me for a project management role opening at one of our insurance company clients, I was open to talking with the recruiter. During my talks I found out that there was an internal position at what was Safe Bridge Solutions at the time and, after meeting with Lisa Hintz, I decided to join the Human Resources team. After Safe Bridge was acquired by V-Soft, I became part of the family and I’m still happily here!

I think one of the things I like about my job is that every day brings something new and challenging. Being able to have things go smoothly and be able to fulfill the needs of internal and external clients is really rewarding. We are a fast-growing company, so making sure things go as smoothly as possible is very important to me.
I hope to oversee the continued growth of my department. I really love my job, and every day brings something new and challenging. V-Soft’s continued growth makes looking toward the future very exciting, as there are always opportunities for forward movement.
I think that the “people first” approach. Everyone, including upper management, really cares about you. You’re more than just a number on a spreadsheet at V-Soft, you’re part of the family. Being able to have a flexible work schedule is also really wonderful.
My number one thing is to travel. I like camping and seeing live music. We are heading to the Boundary Waters for a week this September, actually! I also am passionate about animal rights and environmental advocacy. As a professional photographer, I enjoy taking photographs as well.
I have traveled to 37 countries including India, Tanzania, Turkey, Egypt, Thailand, Israel/Palestine, Russia, Panama, Costa Rica, most of Europe and much of the Caribbean. I have a never ending wanderlust and hope to add a couple more countries to this list in the near future.
