Written by Mariah McCrea | Nov 1, 2019 3:36:40 PM

For this month's employee spotlight, we wanted to feature one of our team's key players, Brad Dunleavy! Brad is the Controller for V-Soft Consulting located in Louisville, KY. He became part of the V-Soft family during the MDT Technical acquisition in 2017. Catch up with Brad, as he shares his greatest accomplishment of 2019 and how he enjoys spending his free time!

What is Your Role at V-Soft?

I am the Controller at V-Soft. My job is easy because I am very lucky to work with a great team. I help ensure we have no hiccups with the financial cycle including reporting, assisting the annual audit, billing, and any other things that might pop up. But my current primary focus is preparing monthly reports to the executive team to ensure timely reporting.

What is the Best Thing About V-Soft?

The best thing about V-Soft is the amazing team I am fortunate to work with. Everyone, from India, to Canada to of course the team in the U.S. is amazing. I have worked in the staffing industry for 10 years and I can say this is the best team I have worked with.  Some of the team in Denver and Harrisburg I have worked with for almost a decade and I can truly call them family.

What Has Been Your Greatest Accomplishment So Far in 2019?

Greatest accomplishment in 2019 is easy. I was married in Ireland! Had a great time and had a few close friends from V-Soft come to join and witness our union. It was an amazing experience. We also moved to Louisville. I lived in Harrisburg all my life, so making a change and moving to a new city was a big deal for me but it has been a great experience!

Where Do You See Yourself in Five Years?

In 5 years, I see myself still at V-Soft working with a great team. Moving to Louisville has given me more opportunity to connect and build more meaningful relationships with my team and it really brings more value to the term 'V-Soft Family'.  When we work together as a team we can do great things and building personal relationships with colleagues can be a game changer in business. When we all do our part, magic happens.

Outside of work, I still see myself happily married in five years! They say 'happy wife, happy life' and I agree, but I like to think 'happy spouse, happy house' is the real winner.

What Do You Enjoy Doing on Your Free Time?

I enjoy traveling and reading. have a special interest in Civil War history and travel to Europe.  When I still lived in Harrisburg, I planned to take the office on a trip to a historical site from the 1863 Battle of Gettysburg, but it rained.  We ended up having to settle with a movie because there was nothing else to do. Even though I didn't get to show off my history buff passion, we still had a great time as a team!

What's a Fun Fact About Yourself?

I have hosted 7 exchange students for 3 countries. Germany, Slovakia and Italy. Amazing experience and went to one of their weddings last year.
