This month we are spotlighting our Marketing Director, Kristi Moad. Kristi has been with V-Soft for only seven months and has already made a huge impression. She has taken our Marketing Department and turned it upside down, but in a good way! We recently sat down with Kristi to learn more about her interest and how she got to where she is today.

Kristi Moad grew up in Evansville, IN, with her mom, dad, and older sister. She enjoys landscaping and working in the yard. When she and her husband first bought their house, Kristi built a retaining wall (which is still standing 😊).

Although Kristi got her bachelor’s in journalism at IU, she decided it wasn’t what she wanted for a career. Therefore, Kristi ended up moving to Louisville, where she gained experience in various fields, including working in retail, a computer training school, and a branding firm, before finding a good fit at a bank where she worked for 17 years.

Aside from her career, Kristi's family is a huge part of her life. She and her husband have two children, Bradey, and Maddie. When they aren't on a ball field somewhere, the family enjoys outdoor activities like visiting Blackacre Nature Preserve to feed animals and go on hikes. They also enjoy taking family trips, exploring destinations like Curacao, Jamaica, the Dominican Republic, and Mexico.

Kristi has also had some shocking experiences in her life. In fact, on her first day in Louisville, while in a Target parking lot, she was struck by lightning. Her umbrella flew out of her hand, and her arm went numb. However, the man in front of her was knocked completely to the ground. Both were ok and helped each other get inside.

As Kristi reflects on her life journey, she cherishes the lessons she's learned along the way: 'Don't take everything personally. It's not always a reflection on you. Recognize what is important before you react. You have to pick your battles.' These words of wisdom have guided her through the ups and downs, shaping her into the person she is today.
