Rekha Kalita has been part of the V-Soft family for 10 years! She is a Senior Technical Recruiter in our Louisville, Kentucky office. Rekha took a moment out of her fast-paced day to tell us more about herself, her role and a new love her and her kids have found.

Describe Your Role at V-Soft

I work in a very fast-paced environment where priorities are constantly changing while trying to fulfil the job orders of our clients. My role is to find the right candidate either from the job market or through networking and present them to our customers. I work very closely with our sales team to understand the needs of our customers and map them with the right resource. I not only screen them to make sure they have the technical abilities and the skill sets but also make sure it is the right personality and cultural fit.

What is the best thing about V-Soft?

V-Soft has won several awards and has been rated as one of the best places to work in Kentucky. The company has invested heavily in people whether it is training, seminars or the right tools and resources to make its employees successful.

Last year, I made it to the President’s Club and I got a chance to visit Hawaii with my family, a trip completely sponsored by V-Soft.

What do you consider a fulfilling workday?

A good day at V-Soft is when I am able to connect with talented and passionate people and introduce them to our customers. It gives me a sense of fulfilment when I am able to provide my candidates with a good career match whether it is cutting edge technology or the work-life balance that they are seeking.

Where do you see yourself in five years?

I’d like to be seen as someone with deep expertise in the IT staffing industry. I’m also really excited to take on more project-based responsibilities in the next few years and potentially even work with other departments including V-Soft Digital.

What is a fun or unique fact about yourself?

I have just started to explore various State and National Parks in and around Louisville and have been trying to go hiking with my kids whenever the weather is favourable. My kids have started liking it too, and I feel it is a great way to connect with nature and turn it into an educational trip. Yellowstone and Smoky Mountains are on my list this year.
