This month's spotlight features Sarah Schmetzer, a member of V-Soft's sales team. Sarah has been with V-Soft for nearly a year as a Business Development Manager and most recently earned the 2021 President's Club Rookie recognition for her success. She has continued to prove herself in her role and even has a hand in the V-Soft Cares charity golf scramble as the Silent Auction Chair. Sarah shared with us a little bit more about her role, her experience, and how she enjoys her free time.
I knew V-Soft was a great opportunity for me to take on a new challenge, and I was ready for the next step in my career. My decision did not disappoint! As a Business Development Manager, my typical day is a mix between navigating current business and hunting for new business. I love the high of the sales hunt! A few of my goals for 2022 include hitting $1mil in GM (gross margin) and continuing to build meaningful relationships in and outside of my network. I am always striving to become a better version of myself!

I started my career in hospitality staffing and boy, was that an experience. There were many events where I would pick up and drop off contractors, just to make sure we had enough for the event at hand. I even had my husband at the time pick up contractors as well. IT staffing, on the other hand, is more of a long-term game compared to the short-term of hospitality. I love the relationships that I am able to build with clients and consultants in the IT staffing industry.
My free time is spent doing fun things with my teenage children (Ava is 14 and Aiden is 16), my dog Nora, as well as my friends and family. We like to go hiking, vacation at the beach, see movies, go bowling, take Nora to fun outdoor restaurants and neat parts of town to puppy socialize, go on road trips, attend sporting events, and so much more!

I just turned 40 this year and I am living my best life! I enjoy checking out new cities and definitely the beach for long weekends or full-on vacations. I enjoy live music, meeting new people, eating great food, and drinking great bourbon and wine!

One of my favorite things to do in Louisville is checking out the ever-growing food scene with the people that I love. Some of my favorite restaurants are Cask, The Village Anchor, Harry’s, LouVino, Agave & Rye, The Fat Lamb... I could go on 😉 I love all food, but Mexican is definitely high up on my list!
