What is your experience in? What brought you to V-Soft?

I have a passion for process improvement and project management and am experienced in project coordination, proposal management, customer service and customer relations, in addition to management experience. Rekha Kalita brought me to V-Soft! She and I were both attending the Practical Application course for Project Management and V-Soft was looking for a Proposal Specialist. I gained proposal management and writing experience at Papa John’s International and was looking for the next right step in my career. With Proposal Management being a gateway into project management, I was blessed to have been offered the opportunity.

What do you consider a fulfilling workday?

A fulfilling work day involves continuous and collaborative communication amongst internal and external stakeholders for proposal development, coordinating to remain on or ahead of schedule according to the proposal plan, capturing content to best reflect client needs and objectives while executing all deliverables in a timely fashion. Communication and collaboration is key to our continued success!

Where do you see yourself in five years?

In the next five years my goals involve obtaining a Project Management Certification and becoming a Project Manager. I also intend to collaborate with a church to organize and plan a mission trip to a Spanish speaking country.

What do you like to do in your free time?

I weekly spend time with my church’s community group to learn more about the Bible and my walk with Christ. My faith is a large part of my identity and it’s what drives me to always give at 110% in all I do and never give up despite the obstacles and storms that life brings. I love spending time with my best friend and husband, Danny Clark, who by the way is an excellent chef! I enjoy spending time with my family, friends and my dog Rose. I surf during the summer months at the lake alongside my sister, niece, and cousins. I have always enjoyed oil painting amongst other arts and crafts. I’m currently working on finishing up an abstract painting for my sister as a gift inspired by a photograph taken on her recent trip to Greece. I love traveling and have been to 20 of the 50 states and six other countries with Italy next on my list! Thanks to Travis Arkon, I’ve also recently started attending Hot Pilates and Bikram yoga classes.

What is a fun or unique fact about yourself?

Six years ago I went on a mission trip to Panajachel, Guatemala with my husband and in-laws where we put down the foundation of a home for a family in need, as well as, spent time with the children in the nearby villages playing soccer, coloring, and engaging in church organized games and activities. Spending time with the people I met there, I learned that many of the children in the villages start working on the streets at age eight to help support their families. It was an amazing, and truly an eye-opening experience that I would do again and highly recommend to anyone! I’m blessed to have been a part of the cause in helping support the families we met.
