The most well-known and strongly rooted restaurant brands, like KFC, often struggle to balance their business priorities, such as order management, especially at peak times. This might be due to a lack of visibility in process management, inefficient vendor collaborations, or challenges in system integration and data transmission. This is where a powerful system integration tool, MuleSoft, could help multinational restaurant chains to overcome bottlenecks across their operations and service delivery.
Integrating the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform with business systems and apps removes all the hassle of connecting hundreds of data systems and vendor accounts, ensuring a centralized platform for process coordination and communication.
The best example of our MuleSoft integration project is with one of the top five fastest-growing restaurant chains in Australia. This client offers delicious signature dishes and convenient dining, and delivery options compared to any other food service brand in the region. With a network of stores across the nation, they cater to a wide customer base in SOPAC countries and are recognized as a leading Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) chain worldwide.
To further expand its brand’s credibility, the popular restaurant brand had plans to deliver prompt services to their global customers, but their existing integration layer does not support them integrating large food aggregator apps, limiting the ability to reach a wider audience. This negatively impacted the client’s business goal as well as revenues.
Therefore, we have detailed how V-Soft Consulting, a leading MuleSoft integration partner, helped the multinational QSR chain provide outstanding customer service by integrating data from more than 900 stores into aggregator apps.
The leading QSR chain was looking to collaborate with large food aggregators to provide unified omnichannel experience to customers. However, integrating information from 900+ stores into aggregators posed challenges due to limitations in their existing integration layer. The centralization of menu, order, store, and inventory management operations proved challenging, resulting in inefficient vendor collaborations and lost revenue.
Additionally, the client also experienced difficulties updating their menu/products and launching promotions into aggregator apps. Several standalone applications in their current setup led to inefficient manual and repetitive processes, increasing infrastructure costs and data errors.
As a result, due to a lack of dynamic cloud-enabled architecture, the client had trouble centralizing visibility into connected applications, devices, services data, processes, and monitoring user experiences.
These challenges prompted the need for a better integration solution that incorporates communication and integrates the client’s data into aggregator apps for operational efficiency. They have approached V-Soft Consulting, a leading enterprise integration services provider and a reliable MuleSoft Consulting Partner, to assist in implementing the MuleSoft solution.
MuleSoft named a Leader by Gartner® for the 9th year Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for API Management.

V-Soft implemented an Integration Fabric (IF) platform using MuleSoft and API-led architecture-based solutions. This allowed seamless integration with various aggregators and back-end systems, minimizing integration points by consolidating connectors for each application within a unified integration fabric layer. Thus, the MuleSoft IF layer provides routing, traffic management, and security of the APIs.
A Splunk aggregator MuleSoft application was developed for consolidating log management processes. This focused on reducing manual efforts and optimizing operational efficiencies. Further, modern integration styles and patterns such as K-Rise integration were employed to automatically process the store and network user details through IF. This eliminated the need for external standalone applications and made operations management seamless.
Additionally, implementations of new integrations, such as Yammer, Mapping Update in HR BRIDGE API, Snowflake-Donesafe, and Fingermark-Zendesk resulted in a 90% reduction in manual effort. Moreover, the API portal developed specifically for the customer will allow the users to perform the following key operations:
These efforts were related to transferring employee emails, store data, order data, and network user details with more security through a centralized layer. This process reduced the external infrastructure cost of standalone applications.
The implementation of V-Soft’s MuleSoft integration solution provided benefits beyond expectations and resulted in several key outcomes, such as:
