Meet Our V-Soft Care's 4th Annual Charity Golf Scramble Golf Sponsor: Farm Credit

Written by Caitlin Soard | Aug 3, 2017 7:25:06 PM

Each year, V-Soft Cares hosts a golf scramble to benefit different charities in our community. The V-Soft Cares initiative was born out of a personal initiative by President Purna Veer. Not wanting to wait until retirement to give back, he made it his personal goal to make a difference in the community and surrounding area where the V-Soft family works. We are able to host this great event at Valhalla Golf Club each year thanks in part to our sponsors, including one of our Golf Sponsors, Farm Credit Mid-America. We're thankful to be able to work with them again to raise money for this year's charity, Hope Scarves.

About Farm Credit Mid-America

Farm Credit Mid-America Insurance is an agricultural lending cooperative founded in 1908 that is owned and controlled by their customers. They are one of the largest associations within the Farm Credit System, and employ over 1,000 people and serve nearly 100,000 customers in Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, and Tennessee. Their customers are also their members, so they have a voice in how the organization runs.

"Our customers help shape who we are, define the course we take moving forward and decide who will be on our Board of Directors to guide us there."

About Hope Scarves

Each year, the V-Soft Cares board chooses a charity for the golf scramble to benefit based around helping cancer patients and survivors as a way to honor President Purna Veer's late mother. This year the charity that has been chosen is Hope Scarves.

Founded by Lara MacGregor as a result of her ongoing battle with cancer, Hope Scarves extends the stories and support of courageous cancer survivors to 16 countries around the world through the sharing of scarves to be used as head covers during cancer treatment, and provides much-needed funding for researching metastatic breast cancer.
