Meet Our V-Soft Care's 4th Annual Charity Golf Scramble Platinum Sponsor: WesBanco

Written by Caitlin Soard | Jul 25, 2017 1:56:59 PM

Each year, V-Soft Cares hosts a golf scramble to benefit different charities in our community. The V-Soft Cares initiative was born out of a personal initiative by President Purna Veer. Not wanting to wait until retirement to give back, he made it his personal goal to make a difference in the community and surrounding area where the V-Soft family works. We are able to host this great event at Valhalla Golf Club each year thanks in part to our sponsors, in particular our Platinum Sponsor, who this year is WesBanco. We're thankful to be able to work with them again to raise money for this year's charity, Hope Scarves.

About WesBanco

WesBanco are returning as the Platinum Sponsor for the 4th Annual V-Soft Cares Charity Golf Scramble, hosted at Valhalla Golf Club. They also sponsored us last year and we are thrilled to have them back!

WesBanco has been providing the highest quality banking services to individuals and businesses since 1870! Founded in Wheeling, West Virginia, WesBanco has a long history of community support, both in their home state of West Virginia and in other states as they have merged and acquired other companies.

"Through the years, we’ve been there as the people of this area fought through the rise and fall of industrial cycles, natural disasters, crop disasters and personal tragedies. And we’ve been inspired by the resilience and optimism of the people we serve. The spirit of our customers drove us to be a better bank then – and it drives us to this day."

About Hope Scarves

Each year, the V-Soft Cares board chooses a charity for the golf scramble to benefit based around helping cancer patients and survivors as a way to honor President Purna Veer's late mother. This year the charity that has been chosen is Hope Scarves.

Founded by Lara MacGregor as a result of her ongoing battle with cancer, Hope Scarves extends the stories and support of courageous cancer survivors to 16 countries around the world through the sharing of scarves to be used as head covers during cancer treatment, and provides much-needed funding for researching metastatic breast cancer.
