There are tons of amazing places to grab lunch in the Chicagoland area. We’ve gathered some of our Chicago staffing team’s favorite places to eat when they’re at the office.

Sally Martin’s recommendation is a healthy alternative to greasy burger joints or sandwich shops. According to their website, Protein Bar strives to “change the way people eat on the go.” Their menu is focused on healthy food that can be served quickly and make it easy for those on-the-go to have a healthy meal. “Our focus is on serving healthy, flavorful food in a hip, trendy environment quickly and efficiently so you can get back to your day,” the Protein Bar website reads.
This unique spot offers Afro-Portuguese fare, such as chicken marinated in spicy pepper sauce. A popular chain in Europe, Nando’s has several locations in the U.S. The chain originated in Johannesburg, South Africa in 1987. Today they boast hundreds of locations all across the globe.
Originally established in Dallas, Texas, this spot recommended by Account Manager, Cathy Kuratko, has 21 restaurants in seven states. Their website says they offer “a unique and authentic experience built around original recipes that demand the freshest, hand-picked ingredients.”
Roka Akor offers sushi, seafood and steaks. It’s ranked as one of the top 10 sushi restaurants in the U.S. and was recommended by Jason Corletta, Account Manager. Their Chicago location was listed in the Michelin Guide in 2013 and their menu changes to reflect seasonal items.
Another suggestion from Cathy: Maggiano’s is native to Chicago. They opened their first location in 1991 as a family-style operation. Their lunch menu features a bruschetta bar, appetizer specials, flatbreads, sandwiches and specialty pastas.
