As most of us start our work weeks in our home offices, on our couches, or any quiet and available space in our homes, it can be a tricky transition to stay focused and productive. There are some V-Soft family members, however, that are used to the WFH lifestyle - our remote workforce. We asked some of our remote workers to give their tips and experiences working from home.
Chanin's Remote Working Tips
"I'm not so concerned with the dog barking in the background but if someone could tell me how to get your child to not scream at the top of their lungs at the video game they are playing, I would be grateful."
"I have three dogs who are like children so they can be sound asleep and as soon as I get on a call, they will see a squirrel or something outside and begin to bark," said Audrey. "All of my clients are accustomed to this occasionally happening and are very understanding. If it’s a new client call, I typically begin by letting them know I have a zoo and all my four-legged babies are asleep, but that could change and if so, I will remove them promptly and close the door. It’s a nice ice breaker with a chuckle anyway and they then feel they are talking to someone real, someone who has challenges just like the rest of the world and it's all good!"
"Note my fur baby in the corner and my hand sanitizer by my side!"
"The very best part of WFH is not having to get ready to work and saving on the travel. You can start off work right in your PJs and since there is no travel, I think we can put in more hours of work. I'm less tired and exhausted as I'm not stuck in traffic especially in the Bay Area. When kids are off from school, sometimes I’d have to hush them to be silent but for the most part they behave."
If you have any work from home tips or can share photos of your space, view, or coworkers, the V-Soft family would love to see them!
