Best Mobile Apps for Business in 2024

Mobile apps are a daily part of everyone's lives. We use them to get where we need to go, connect with people we love, and keep up-to-date on what's happening in the world. For a business owner, mobile apps can also be powerful tools within the professional sector. We have compiled a list of some of the best mobile apps for businesses in 2017 below.

SurveyMonkey

Odds are your marketing team already knows and loves SurveyMonkey. Why? It is a great way to gain insight from employees and customers. If you don't know SurveyMonkey does, it helps your team create, analyze and participate in surveys. The desktop site is great, but sometimes you need to take your surveys on the road, especially if your team is at an event you want to get some insight on while in-field. That's where their app helps. It allows your team to do everything the desktop site does straight from their mobile devices.

Gusto

Formerly known as ZenPayroll, this financing app streamlines your company's payroll, tax and benefits process. It does online employee onboarding as well as automatically reports new hires to the government; handles all local, state and federal tax filings; automates deductions for benefits and workers’ comp payments; and emails digital pay stubs to employees. There is a small fee to use Gusto — $39 per month, plus $6 per employee — but saves you hours of time.

MailChimp

MailChimp is another website your marketing team is probably familiar with, but its uses go far beyond just their roles! MailChimp is an email client that allows users to design, send and track emails to specific lists of people. The MailChimp app allows its users to take all of the helpful features of MailChimp on-the-go, therefore giving content creators the power to work from anywhere and not just the office.

Slack

Slack is an instant messaging platform designed specifically with businesses in mind. With Slack, you can organize your team’s conversations into separate private or public channels or send direct messages. Slack also allows users to share images, PDFs and other files with their groups. It also automatically indexes and archives any message, notification or file for future reference. There’s no limit to how many users your business can add, and Slack can help cut internal emails by up to 43 percent and cut meetings by 21 percent. The app can be used on mobile devices and desktops, making it a versatile tool for all members of your team.

Clear

Clear is a time management app that is powered through simple, gesture-based controls. It's great for companies that work primarily with Apple products, as it works seamlessly between Macs, iPhones, iPads and Apple Watches. Clear allows you to organize your tasks into specific lists, create reminders and set priority levels. While this may not be the best app for a company that uses Windows, it is still functional with mobile devices for on-the-go time management!
