Employee Spotlight Louisville: Kasey Tyring, Marketing Coordinator

Written by Kasey T | Jul 8, 2021 5:15:50 PM

This month's spotlight features Kasey Tyring, a member of the V-Soft marketing team. Anything that you see online and in-person that represents V-Soft, Kasey had a hand in creating. Celebrating her 3rd anniversary at V-Soft, we wanted to get to know Kasey a little better as she shares what she likes to do in her free time and what she likes most about being a part of the V-Soft family.

Describe Your Role at V-Soft

I'm the Marketing Coordinator at V-Soft and help manage V-Soft's online presence, which includes websites, blogs, social media, press and email marketing, as well as V-Soft's physical presence, assisting with events, collateral, swag and more. I also work on all internal communications from the new hire and promotion announcements. The marketing department as a whole also works closely with different departments to help them perform at their best, whether that's providing sales enablement assets or department-specific marketing materials for VSI, ServiceNow, etc.

What's the Best Thing About V-Soft?

The best part of V-Soft is the people! My immediate department in marketing is truly something special. I enjoy coming to work every single day because I have a great boss, Michael Ross, and coworkers in Brianna Kolder and the entire offshore marketing team in India. We work really hard to create superior marketing results, but we also have a lot of fun doing it!

Looking outside of marketing, the entire V-Soft Family is made of some amazing and talented people. I'm fortunate to be able to work with so many different departments, including sales, HR, immigration, finance, recruiting... well okay, pretty much everyone! The staff here has such a positive attitude and it's awesome to be surrounded by people all working toward a common goal.

What's Something You're Proud to Have Accomplished at V-Soft?

In the three years I've been with V-Soft, I can look back and note a lot of projects and experiences I'm proud of. From relaunching the V-Soft website, to managing V-Soft's presence at ServiceNow's Knowledge19 conference, and of course, volunteering at the V-Soft Cares Charity Golf scrambles, it's been an eventful ride. I am really proud to have been awarded Top Performer in Operations for 2019 and I was honored to help put together the Toronto Open House when we acquired that location. One aspect that others might not be aware of is the marketing team gets to work on some of Purna's other businesses, like Tandoori Fusion and Pravasa Wine and Vineyard. Creating those brands and working with Purna's other passions has been a personal highlight for me.

What Do You Enjoy Doing in Your Free Time?

My day-to-day hobby is reading and watching movies. I always have a book on my nightstand and I'm constantly keeping up with the latest movies, awards seasons and film festivals. I also keep up with music and love to attend concerts and music festivals. I also love to travel after taking a few trips abroad a few years ago. I've been stateside ever since, but love exploring neighboring states and cities. Any other free time I have is spent with my family and friends exploring new bars and restaurants.

What’s a Fun Fact About Yourself?

I'm a triplet! I have a brother, Levi, and a sister, Shelby, who are just 30 seconds apart from me. I'm the oldest though - it's important everyone knows this! I saw being a triplet as a blessing and a curse growing up, but now into adulthood, I'm so grateful to have built-in best friends that I can experience all stages of life with.

What is Your Favorite Thing to Do in Louisville?

Louisville is a major foodie and music town. I love trying out all the local restaurants. Some of my favorites are Agave and Rye and District 6. We have plenty of free and small concerts around town too from Waterfront Wednesday and any shows at Headliners Music Hall.
