What's your experience in? What brought you to V-Soft?
I have over 26 years experience in project managment and business analysis spanning from Kansas City to Louisville, with a break in there for about six years to sell beer. That was in Florida. With V-Soft, actually I was at Humana and was approached about a position at Trover, but because of the relationship between Trover and Humana I wasn't eligible for that job. But Ashima, who was the recruiter talking to me, thought "Hey, this guy would be good for business solutions," so she sent me over to talk to Ron. The rest, as they say, is history.
What do you consider a Fulfilling workday?
When I can do all the meetings that I have in the morning and actually deliver on all the stuff I promised in the meetings that I had that morning. And that means progress to me. I'm very accomplishment-driven, so if I can look through part of my project plan or work breakdown structure and say "Yes, this is completed on time and it's passed all tests," that's a good day for me.
Where do you see yourself in five years?
You know, hopefully managing project managers and just continuing to do work and grow the business with more clients. But I would like to be in a position to either be more closely in-tune with the clients, either managing other project managers or providing oversight to the things that they are doing.
What is the best thing about V-Soft?
The family team thing that Purna keeps talking about. I have to say that is the kind of lip service that's given a lot. For a business owner or a CEO to say "We're a people-first kind of company," you get that a lot, but you don't always see those people put actions behind their words, and Purna does. I think all of us have bought into that and that's what makes it kind of special and kind of fun.
What do you do in your free time?
I have in the past done a lot of musical theater. I'm heavily involved in my church, I haven't found a church here in Louisville that I'm really at home with yet. Most of my free time now is probably taken up with either home improvment projects or going to my kid's activities. With two teenagers in the house, we're running somewhere every day.
What is a fun fact about yourself?
For a time in college I was a singing waiter at a dinner playhouse.
