We're excited to welcome a new face to the V-Soft family as our Chief Operating Officer! Keith Giffney has an outstanding professional background and has brought nothing but positivity as we kick off 2020. Find out what brought him to V-Soft and his short claim to fame at 15 years old.
Describe Your Experience and What Brought You to V-Soft
It is amazing to think that it will be 28 years this year working within the IT/Technical Staffing industry. It all started with one of my best friends referring me to work alongside him as a “Technical” Recruiter.
Over these 28 years I have been blessed in developing great friendships, having terrific clients and working with wonderful leaders and mentors that have guided me along the way. I am fortunate to be in various positions along my career that have allowed me the opportunity to coach and teach others. It is probably one of the most gratifying moments when you see an individual develop and grow before your eyes, knowing they are putting themselves down a more predictable and sustainable path of both personal and professional growth.
I truly believe that all of the experiences, failures, successes and life lessons have led me to V-Soft.
Describe Your Role at V-Soft
As COO, my goal is to create a culture where people feel engaged, enabled and energized by the work they are doing and the difference they are making in their daily efforts. It is also to find and develop efficiencies within our current systems and tools, create a successful sales and delivery strategy in order to create raving fans among our clients and consultant base.
Let’s build something special together!
What Has Been Your Greatest Accomplishment Over the Year?
I took a bicycle trip to Starved Rock in Illinois, which was about 128 miles round trip. I did it in one day! That's nearly 8 hours and one sore behind!
Where Do You See Yourself in Five Years?
Praising my kids for graduating college and being excited about whatever life has in store for me and my family.
What Do You Enjoy Doing in Your Free Time?
I love cycling and I love walking my yellow lab, Max in the woods. Other than that, I enjoy family movie nights, fishing, hunting pheasant. I'm kind of a fitness fanatic, but where's the harm in that?
What’s a Fun Fact About Yourself?
I was in the movie Lucas.
When I was 15 years old I was part of our High School Choir, which was ranked as one of the top choirs within the U.S. The movie Lucas was being filmed in the Chicago area and they were looking for a local HS. Choir to perform, which we received the honors. I spent 6 days on site shooting the film and spent time in a recording studio performing two songs for the movie. Outside of our choir scenes, a number of us did our best to be used as extras in the film as well. After all of the filing was completed, we were invited to the cast part at Navy Pier and hung out with all of the stars in the movie. Amazing experience for sure!
