Case Study: Conference Room Management Mobile App

Mobile applications are responsible for handling multiple tasks, making work easier for the workforce, and decreasing employee workload. This allows employees to focus on other crucial tasks. V-Soft Labs worked with a leading Information Technology company to develop a mobile application that would enable employees to book conference rooms remotely, greatly reducing employee frustration.

The Struggle of Reserving Conference Rooms

Before working with V-Soft Labs, the client was using only a desktop email application for booking conference rooms. Employees were required to be at their computers to book public rooms, making it impossible to check availability or schedule a room while away from their desks. With a large campus, and many public conference rooms available for use, the problem became confusing and frustrating for employees who were often away from their desks but still wanted to make use of different conference rooms. Employees would often forego booking altogether and use conference rooms that they didn't know were already booked. This problem became a daily nuisance for employees and needed to be addressed.

Solving the Problem with a Mobile App

V-Soft Labs developed a robust mobile application to manage conference room issues. The mobile application allowed employees to book conference rooms from anywhere. The team created a single sign-on for the employees, powered by a secured SSO Authentication system.

The employees could log in to the application using their email ID credentials. V-Soft Labs integrated an Amazon Lex chatbot that enabled employees to book conference rooms from any location, quickly, via voice or text.

This easy-to-use mobile application design decreased the conference room scheduling conflicts by 95%, improved employee experience, and saved time.
